No, they're not photographs! The astonishing pictures drawn by PENCIL

Artist's drawings take between three and six weeks to create and sell for up to £5,000 each
The hyperrealist art is taken from a photograph but is produced in a non-photographic medium

These might look like photographs, but it's not all black and white when it comes to the work of this artist.

Despite looking like they have been captured on a camera, these are actually hand-drawn images created by hyperrealist artist Paul Cadden.

The 47-year-old, from Scotland, is able to recreate photos in amazing detail, often just using only a pencil.

From the wrinkles on a woman’s face, a puff of smoke from a cigarette or dripping water - Cadden's drawings look unbelievably realistic.

These are amazing. One talented artist.

 This guy's drawings are a tad bit better than the stick figures I can draw with a pencil.

The smokescreen & the one with the water dripping are my fave.

This guy's artwork is pretty much unreal, but I will always have just a little bit of a problem with art like this.

While it takes an unbelievable amount of talent,it's only copying off of a photo and using no real creativity.I would love to see what he could do if it were something completely original and not just a copy of a photo.Furthermore,I really don't see the point of this type of artwork other than to show that you can copy as well as a high end Xerox, except for the fact that it only take a few seconds to reproduce an image as apposed to a few weeks.

I consider myself to be a pretty good artist so I recognize the skill, but I also recognize that there isn't much actual creativity.I actually put more stock in creativity, but that doesn't diminish the amazing talent that's on display.

I've seen a couple of people that could draw photo realistic with pencil. One of the biggest problems I've had with drawing things like that in pencil is getting the blacks of the picture to look dark enough to actually end up looking black instead of dark gray once all of it is done.

You gotta use a different type of pencil.Your standard #2 pencil just won't work for the deep black colors that you refer to.

Good drawings, but that shit doesn't impress me.

It impresses me only to a certain point.Technically,it's awesome, creatively, not so much.Like I said before,it's only doing the same thing that a copy machine can do,also, with the invention of Photoshop,I just still don't see the point.Creating an image that's never existed before, instead of copying from a photo or such,is much more impressive to me.
