No party without these songs

A question to all of you. As I'm going to be DJing at a party in two weeks, I'd like you to name some songs (let's say up to ten) that you think must not be missing at a party.

Note: this is not supposed to be a "name your favourite songs" thread! (but of course you don't have to leave out your best music)
There are a lot of songs I don't listen to for myself, but that I have to play at the party (like "dr Holzmichl", a stupid german song that makes party people crazy here in Germany...).

Looking forward to your nominations!

yeah cant be playin YMCA at some1's 18th or something, only at weddings, but still lol :1orglaugh

"It Takes Two" -Rob Base and DJ EZRock......no party is complete without that awesome tune

You need some classic rock - something like Aerosmith 'Love in an elevator' that will 'go down' well!

But as stated what type of function is it and who are your main target audience going to be. No good playing tunes to air guitar to at the local retirement home bridge evening!

Very mixed audience, age from 16-60 yrs, it's going to be a "just for fun" party with lots of alcohol involved (ok, I think you knew that already ;) ). An Apres Ski Party, to be more precise.

Thanks for the hints so far, YMCA is already on my list, also Macarena and lots of classic rock.
I don't know the tunes of "It Takes Two" at the moment but will do a search.

Btw., Ric0chet, you didn't refer to my post in the craziest sexual thing thread, did you? :D

Don't forget romance songs , the ones you play more towards the end of the evening . So everyone slow dances as they hook up and plan the rest of their evening . ;) I can't offer any suggestions sorry , my taste in music is very different than most here .
