Checking Sportscenter to find out when tonight's game 4 would be on, I saw that Keith is suspended and for good measure.

In the last game between the Kings and Blackhawks (game 3), Duncan Keith gave a high stick to the face of Jeff Carter. Moments afterwards, Keith went up to Carter and apologized.

To me this shows a lack of concern for another players well-being and safety. Hockey is a rough sport, but moments like that are uncalled for and shows the true immature nature of Keith's ways. Another thing it shows is a lack of discipline for someone like Keith, to just bluntly high stick someone like that. Keith should be suspended the rest of the playoffs and many games the next season as well. Stuff like this in Hockey should not happen.

He definitely deserves a suspension and, frankly, I was surprised it was for only one game (3 would be about right IMO). However, before anyone gets too carried away, this wasn't exactly Todd Bertuzzi/Steve Moore or Marty McSorley/Donald Brashear. The difference is intent. Ultimately, a player is responsible for his stick so there should be repercussions but it is obvious that he didn't intend to smack Carter in the face by showing immediate concern for what had occurred. Watch:

Now, compare this to the other 2 incidents and the difference in intent is obvious:

The NHL doesn't crack down on these as harshly as it should because the sport is a very violent one and, let's face it, that is a big part of the draw.

Pucker Up Butter Cup.
Way to go Hawks. Kane and Hossa looked great. And yes Sidney Crosby is a whiny little bitch and couldn't be happier they're down 3-0.

Damn didn't know he actually suffered a broken leg.. that's the epitome of sacrifice, dedication and will.

Well I'm beginning to come to the realization that my LA dreams might be coming to an end.. :cussing: to a team that was 1 fuckin bad period away from being eliminated by a 7th seeded team that almost didn't even make it into the PO's.. that sucks..

I hope LA can do what Chicago did and survive a 3 - 1 series deficit, I know its a longshot at this point, Quick would have to be spectacular and turn into :superman: again, but I am not very happy Chicago is 1 game away from advancing to the Finals.. and it looks like it will be Boston and Chicago, if that comes too fruition I fuckin hope the Bruins can beat the Black Hawks. :yesyes:

The Kings lost the series when they lost at home last night IMO. The Hawks appear to have their game back. Hawks/Bruins will make for a great final the way both teams are playing right now.

Duncan Keith served his 1 game suspension last night. He'll be back for game 5 vs the Kings.

Yes. That makes the win on the road even that much more impressive. If I'm a Kings fan (and I sure ain't), I'm pretty bummed right now. It's over in game 5 is my guess. I just don't see the Hawks going back to the Madhouse and choking this up. Could be wrong but don't think I am.

Boston wants to win it for the marathon bombing victims, but that Hawks team we saw earlier in the year that simply could not be beat will be a tough obstacle.

Either way I think Buttman is already having a Wet Dream about this series.
