fighting is not part of hockey. get more aggressive with your physical game, but don't fight. When the fuck else in life can you just haul off and punch someone when you get frustrated?

I think anyone who fights should get a huge, multi-thousand dollar fine, community service, and a game misconduct without pay. Seems about consistent with what you'd get for a fist-fight in public.

Don't forget the 60-180 days in jail for assault. Man I wish it was legal to just beat the shit outa someone. I know I'd feel a lot better.

No, I sort of agree, but the history of the game is just the way it is. You know damn well (probably better than me) that fighting was part of the game a long time ago. You saw the trailer on the Broad Street Bullies in the thread I started?

I won't get into you personal stuff as it was PM's between you and me, so I'll leave it at that, but I just thought you wouldn't question fist fighting aspect of it. :dunno:

When? Try every professional sport :dunno: The other sports fine and suspend. They can if they want to. The old days of Hockey, with unlimited fighting basically, was ridiculous. The regulation of fighting today is fine. The Montreal player speared the Captain of the Flyers. That's what set it off tonight. Montreal was blowing out the Flyers, since when does the winning team look to fight the loser team?

Pro athletes are not bound to the laws of regular civilians. It's one of the double standards in society we put up with.

PS. I'm having a fuckload of problems w/ this phone due to an extremely malicious "upgrade" I down loaded. So I'm gonna be slower than frozen dogshit tonight.
