Actually the Bruins have the longest streak of getting to the post season. 29 years. 67'-96'. The Blackhawks, Blues, Canadiens all have longer streaks than the Wings. They're getting close though.

I hope the Wings get matched up with San Jose. A healthy Red Wings team is the scariest 8th seed of all time.

so the one good thing Tampa had going (Stamkos heading for 50 goals) hasn't happened in 5 games. the rest of the team continues to suck

I am amazed to say this, but I think Toronto has become my least favourite team. As of late, even my absolute hatred of the Flames doesn't touch what I feel for the faggots in blue.

The Bruins have missed 3 times in that timeline.

I know what you mean. This is typical Toronto style too, except they go in the reverse - They've been shite all season, but in their last 10 they are 7-2-1. They're going to have this big surge at the end and pass a couple of teams in the standings. what will that get them? They'll lose draft pics and we'll end up with the same crap team next year.

Just lose now, there's no point in surging. They aren't going to make the playoffs.

Since Boston is getting Toronto's #1 pick this year the Leafs are better off winning as much as they can so they won't give them that good of a pick.
