Review of two new books... lest humanity forget the evils of communism and totalitarianism: the ***********, the lack of individual rights, the subserviant nature demanded of citizens required to sacrifice themselves for the needs of the state. As people yammer for more "government help" these days, they would be wise to heed the lessons of history. What might seem to be an easy fix is a path down that same dark road that engulfed Eastern Europe for decades.
