I was amazed to see this type of music can be played by one man live without backing track:

One man has been able to do that for a while now, but the way he had to do it was much different, and probably far more complicated. I would love to play around with it for a little while. I would love to see some instructional videos, or better yet, a how it all works video.

The greatest potential of it IMO is for those who are in a band and wanting to write music, you wouldn't need to get the band together all the time to write with something like this. Very easy to flesh out ideas on your own and then present to your band mates.
But would I want to see something like this live? Probably not. I'm more old school, I'd rather watch people hitting the skins and plucking strings. But on the other hand, if it takes something like this to get younger generations re-interested in rock music then that could be a good thing.

i guess this is something for doing drum n bass or other electric music live. It won't work as a rock band instrument. Also i guess it needs a lot of practice to play it ;)

To me, the "Chapman Stick" is better. And I do believe that the more lines and different tones one person tries to cover, the quality goes down. A longtime rehearsing band just does better. Or go ahead and play the piano.

Is that the thing that Tony Levin, from King Crimson plays?
