My first WOW! moment was this:
The "Selfieccino". Even in colour! Being a Barrista is getting truly an artist :twocents

I remember when I first saw a cake in the windows of a baker in my street, which had a marzipan cover, and on that, there was a printing of a german sheperd. But now on milk foam? Sweet!
But - of course - artists always try to take it further. Sculpting is next!

Mumbai Food: Want To Try A Selfie Coffee?

Grab a cuppa with your face staring back at you or a message printed on it
For a while now, photo-printed cakes have been our go-to option while hunting for a quirky something or to create a special photo memory. And though we aren't fans of taking selfies, the novelty factor of getting our face printed on a cappuccino got us all excited to try out the selfie coffee at #Selfieccino. Its owner Jesal Desai claims that they are the first company to launch it in the city. In addition to coffees, the café also offers bubble waffles, churros, thick shakes and a few other beverages. We decide to opt for a coffee-based ***** but on a sweltering day, we give the warm cappuccino a skip and opt for a mocha frappe (`300) instead. All you have to do is Whatsapp an image of whatever you wish to print, to the café's number and they will instantly print it once the coffee is ready (prep time varies based on the crowd at the cafe).

Forget 'selfieccinos', this Abu Dhabi cafe is taking frothy coffee to new heights
We follow the call of Instagram and visit Cafe Artea, where crafty baristas are serving 3D full-bodied beverages in the capital
As is more often the way these days, I first noticed Cafe Artea on Instagram. It was the jiggling coffee art that caught my attention as I scrolled through my feed one evening after work. Not just leaves or love hearts fashioned into the creamy milk, no, instead I was mesmerised by the photographs of cool-looking ******* – cute cats and bears mostly – rising above a cappuccino or latte in 3D.
We’ve all seen the selfie-ccino and blue latte crazes, but this would appear to be something of a first for the growing Abu Dhabi coffee scene, so I took it upon myself to visit to see first-hand what the 5,000 odd Instagram followers of this cafe had been filling their social media feeds with.
