You know what it's like, you're in a bar and have had a few drinks. Then on your way home you check you've got your keys, your wallet... your phone?

Well according to reports on a number of technology websites it was much worse than usual for one software engineer at Apple.

They claim he lost a prototype iPhone 4G, the hotly anticipated update of the best selling phone, due out this summer.

After getting its hands on it, one website published pictures of the device, describing lots of changes from the 3GS. Features like a front facing video chat camera, a flash and a new flat, generally more square design.

This kinda technology is fucking gay. I wish people would let it die. It's fuckin' pointless.

Not real interesting - maybe if it was that flashlight machine gun that was left in a bar, people might get excited.

www.gizmodo.com has a nice video of the phone. They don't really demo it, just show it off.

I think the story of this phone is turning into how clandestine and paranoid Apple is behaving in this situation. That seems to be where gizmodo is going with the story ;)

The phone looks great. I'm not sure how much different or better it is from the current iPhone. :dunno:

The one and only.
Why don't people ever leave cool shit behind? I want a lightsaber prototype or a ray gun. A new phone? Meh...

Maybe the geeks are geeked that "the sim card is now on the SIDE!!!" but for everyone else..

I want to see what this thing can actually DO...is there some kind of clever app? I liked the chat app that Jobs originally showed when the debuted the device but, from what I understand, that chat app never made it because of ATT....same with the visual voicemail thing they showed years ago. ATT seems to be the barrier of awesomeness which cramps the iPhone's style :crying:

I just want to know if it was found in a bar, was it being used as a bar coaster?

You mean Gizmodo "found" the phone by paying about $10,000 for it?

Shocker.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
The dad of the guy who lost it is said the (soon to be former?) Apple employee is about to have a breakdown. Imagine having a dream job, with one of the biggest tech companies in the world, that's ranked as one of the best places to work... and YOU fuck it up. I bet he is on suicide watch. I would be too. He'll be lucky to be in charge of mops & buckets in his next job. Poor, dumb bastard. :o

But then again, every website on the interweb is talking Apple again.

Nice marketing stunt I say!
