I don't know which part you thought was unecessary but it's incredible how many people ask for IDs when the answer is there at the start, either by the guy saying their name, the babe introducing herself, or her name coming up on the screen. So you'll have to forgive me for my phrasing but the underlying intention was to advise rather than insult.
