I'm glad someone is finally stepping up to support a playoff system for college football, and there is no better school to start than the previous champion (even though it is florida). lets quit the bitchin' about exams and face the real issue that its the money. I say take the conference champs and use the current bowls as first and second round games. We can still have other bowl games as rewards for teams that did well.
