Music That Makes You Feel.

Big fan of emotional music, curious what others listen to when they want to feel. Here are two of my recent finds:

This one just makes me happy Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, Silent Movies. A mother son duo from Kansas City.

This one inspires me Maddie and Tae Fly. Newer country duet that hit it big last year with Girl in a Country Song.

What's yours? Please include a little info and how you feel when you listen to it, new or old groups.

This is one that makes me feel both want to go to faraway places - and melancholically remember lost frends and relatives

And this is the soundtrack of just loving life, hanging out and enjoy life. Many mornings, this is first thing I listen to.

Jagger69

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Haunting, wistful and melancholy classic by the great Leon Russell, circa 1972.

This one cuts through all the noise, all the layers, and lays my heart open. Feeling - as in trembling in tears. I don't think I've ever heard a more a beautiful song.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
I'll give you two. They both tell their own story.

Death Cab for Cutie - Passenger Seat
Then looking upwards
I strain my eyes and try
To tell the difference between shooting stars and satellites
From the passenger seat as you are driving me home.

"Do they collide?"
I ask and you smile.
With my feet on the dash
The world doesn't matter.

When you feel embarrassed then I'll be your pride
When you need directions then I'll be the guide
For all time.

The Decemberists - Red Right ankle

This is the story of the boys who loved you
Who love you now and loved you then
And some were sweet and some were cold and snuffed you
And some just laid around in bed
And some, they crumbled you straight to your knees
Did it cruel, did it tenderly

Some, they crawled their way into your heart
To rend your ventricles apart
This is the story of the boys who loved you
This is the story of your red right ankle

Leon Russell .. the Rolling Stones ... ^This

Now. :)

Then :)

Bonus track: ;)

Thank you.

This song brings out the 'sad hippy' in me somewhat.

If this song doesn't make you feel something, you must be clinically dead.

When I'm annoyed, pissed off and angry something like this helps to work me through it.

Lot of good choices, interesting how it spans across different genres. Here are two more for me:

Louis Armstrong, Body and Soul. I feel like slow dancing, my cat feels strange as I usually dance in the living room when this is on; thus freaking him out.

This is a complex mix for me, regret, sorrow, haunted. Johnny Cash covering Trent Reznor's Hurt. I first saw this after Cash died; the final scene where he closes the lid on the piano, as if for the last time, left me in silent tears.

The complete last record of Johnny Cash is a masterpiece in deep, deep feeling and now I am a little older, some of it really dawns on me, the way you look back on so much bad decisions, so many loved ones lost, this record is a gem and it really really gets me every time.

CrimsonBolt

I AM A SLUT FOR RYAN GOSLING

Thant one always makes me sad. :(

For the EMPEROR!!
Are we talking music or songs. Or both?
Anyway Two Steps From Hell have some of the best music out there.
This one makes me want to go and steal a ship and sail the high seas or start an epic bar brawl at my local tavern.

These songs make me feel inspired, grateful and to keep pushing no matter how hard it gets or hopeless I may feel sometimes.
