Mozilla Firefox 4

Has anyone heard when this is supposed to be released? The last I heard was March 9, but that was two days ago and nothing...

Here Zombie, Zombie, Zombie...
There was just an update the other day, it's only on 3.6. I don't know when.

running it for 2 months or so now. Beta version but I like what I see. Tabs are soo much better now

Just downloaded the new version last night onto my new computer, it's pretty good, very fast, no problems at all so far.

I've always liked FireFox, much safer to surf than IE.

thought it was out of beta? anyhow, I do like (still ) FF but always had memory issues/ Much prefer the brilliant Opera 11

I downloaded a few days ago and webpage loading is noticeably faster. I was a bit miffed that my Multirow Bookmarks add-on wouldn't work, but surfing the Mozilla forums offered me an alternative. Everything looks good, so far...

BTW, I also downloaded IE 9 this week. It has always amazed me how MicroSoft can produce some truly great software, but IE has always been an awful piece of crap. Instead of releasing another crappy IE, they need to come out with a new version of Windows Media Player.

yep. and new version of msn messenger is a mess too /

Oh its looks great and with Roald statement I am almost willing to try a BETA version, but that word BETA always makes this lady nervous.
The funny thing is that "Beta" is more production than some other software's "production."

The memory issues are typically a result of Firefox's extra security and checking for plug-ins and other add-ons, scripts, etc... By using an add-on like NoScript, one can block all sorts of stuff that doesn't even kick off.

Solves the memory issue nicely. NoScript requires an opt-in to allow any script or plug-ins to execute. As such pretty much all sites I hit by default load quickly and without issue. If something is needed, I'll verify it and allow the specific site in the whitelist.

I find that Firefox + NoScript works better, faster, than Chrome or Opera, while being far more compatible.

opposite for me and i use NS add-on/ Opera 11 I find much faster /
