If I remember right Nina finished in the top 5...I wouldn't call that unappreciated.

You have to go into this contest with a realistic outlook. We know where we stand in this business. I won't win because for one as a porn star I don't shoot often enough, two I don't do enough cam shows and three I have a big mouth and voice my opinions. But I have a lot of site members and almost 50k followers on Twitter and maintain a presence on the board year round. It's like a smaller-market sports team. You have to have reasonable expectations going in, and anything above and beyond is bonus. If you're the Pirates you cannot really expect to compete with the Yankees but you can exceed expectations and make it interesting.

The most important point I want to make is that the actual Freeones member votes account for a very small %. The votes are fueled by twitter, websites, facebook and other sources therefore you have girls with hardly any interaction on Freeones at all in the running.

Couple suggestions I have for the contest and people voting. This is called the "Miss Freeones" contest and not the AVN awards , correct ? Not that i have anything against the avns, i go every year, but why is it that a good majority of the people moving on to the next round never post here , rarely post here, or only post here when the contest starts ? So, my suggestion to the board .... the number of posts and activity on the board / blog should have some weight as far as the contest results. Quite honestly, even though I realize this will never happen , it should be required that the contestants have some degree of participation here at freeones to even be in the contest .... if not, why call it the "miss freeones" contest .... just call it the "hottest model" contest :) As far as the voters .... well, all I can say is in the next round please consider who participates here and who does not. Way to many votes are going out to way too many that do not even participate here. Just my :2 cents: , now I'll shush .... lol ....

Most importantly, Best of luck to all the sexy ladies moving on ! I know who i'm hoping wins but I don't wanna say ... hehe !

I pretty much said the same thing here a while back. Even though I have been a member for a year and a half, my first trip to the boards was just this past September. I visited this site many times for years before joining. Up till the time I got to the boards did I realize that many of you models are not just 2 dimensional. You chat, interact, and have fun with your fans. Yea, there is a promotional aspect to it too. But like I said before, a good shop keeper gets to know their customers as people. It makes us both feel good.

I wasn't involved in last years contest. I also read every post. I am interested in seeing how the next round pans out with the changes. Who comes out of the woodwork and starts posting as if some of us hadn't noticed. I will trust the voting public to sort them out in round 2.

There is one thing that I will disagree with you on, I will not stay hush. Till later sweetheart.

Yep! I agree with you babe.We have to be more realistic. All the girls should not solely depend on Freeones for votes and also the votes by Freeones members contributes only a very small protion of the total votes for a contestant. I see all the top 5 contestant are campaign for votes on the social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. As the rule says the winner should not be based on their participation on Freeones but the total number of votes. Even in the US presidential electial : The winner is not base on his/her campaign but on the total votes that he/she received.

I don't know if I can totally agree with you on this. You are strong to be #5 in Miss FreOnes and OCSM. Members here are weighted over those who are just on the twit and the members are here on the boards.

Take this scenario. I am on your twit. I am probably on many other models twits. I have 10 votes. There is nothing to say that I am even going to bother to vote. If I do I am probably not a member. I probably will just use a couple of votes. You may not be one of them. Of the few I vote for they don't make the cut and I don't vote any more. This is a long contest and those voters that cast often are here.

I don't twit or facebook. You do and are more in tune with that since it is a part of the business. From your perspective does any of what I say make sense?

I thought Nina Mercedez finished 8th but regardless, there were girls ahead of her that didn't make 10% the effort and that has to be a tough pill to swallow for anyone. Agree with everything else Mariah has stated.

I still maintain it is crucial that the girls who make the effort get rewarded. Otherwise you will eventually end up just staring at blank white space in the thread waiting for Alektra Blue or Diamond Foxxx to post....good luck with that.
