Michelle Bachmann wants to be like John Wayne. Gacy.

The Republicans could not wish for a worse opponent.

This field of Republican Party Presidential Candidates is a laughing stock...they can't keep their mouths shut...and start spouting off side remarks...No Michelle Bachmann...You'll never will be as great as the late John Wayne...nor will you have the spirit that he does...

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
She's close to being the frontrunner in Iowa. Is the republican field really this weak?

Yeah, she's like the gift that keeps on giving. But according to some of our fellow forum members, she can beat Obama easily.

Say, as long as gambling isn't illegal where FreeOnes is based, can we go through Petra and Roald and lay some bets on this? Since some of our right wing members say she can beat Obama easily, I say we should have even, $ for $ odds. Versus Bachmann or Palin, I'm prepared to lay $1000 on Obama right here and right now. Whether I support him or not, I've never been one to turn down a sucker bet and some easy money. How bad is this sucker bet? Put it this way, Pee Wee Heran versus Mike Tyson in a fist fight, I'd only risk $500 on Tyson. Pee Wee could be quicker and more lethal than he appears. But Bachmann and Palin are EXACTLY what they appear to be: <insert your own joke here>

Like I've said several times, the U.S. has a LOT of stupid people in it. But I don't believe we're dumb enough to elect the likes of a Palin or Bachmann.

The one and only.
Well, at least she didn't praise the town for finally defeating Napoleon.

What is with these GOP bitches Bachmann and Palin, both of them are as dumb as a box rocks. We all know about Palin and her Paul Revere gaffe but she has a long history of saying dumb shit as does Bachmann who recently said that the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired in New Hampshire when in fact it was in Massachusetts.

Please America, just let Bachmann get the nomination. Don't tell me you wouldn't like to see her in a debate against Obama.

She should get better wisdom from Turner and Overdrive, so she can be takin care of business.

Wow- like piranhas on a bloody piece of meat. Yet people tell me I'm taking it "out of context" when a presidential candidate says "all 57 states", or our Vice President opens his mouth (pick a gaff, any gaff...)

Not a Bachman fan, but Jesus people, humans say stupid things from time to time. It just so happens that right now, she's a really visible person in an age where EVERYTHING is recorded, broadcast, analyzed, re-analyzed, and then forgotten within a week. Guess she better start planning better what she said so that she can sound like a robot.

Or maybe she could... always read off a teleprompter?

Yeah! Take that! :D Biden does nothing, but stick his foot in his mouth.

He also said he is a Zionist. :surprise:

Obama-prompter.

Everyone is making fun of this by saying John Wayne wasn't born in Waterloo, Iowa...John Wayne Gacy was.

Only he wasn't. He was born in Chicago.

There's plenty to make fun of Bachmann about but if we're gonna' make fun of her for getting her facts wrong...let's make sure we don't either.

Bachmann's flubs aside....no matter what the poll numbers show, the core of her motivation to run for president is beset with one, fatal flaw IMO.

At bottom, when you strip aside all the flubs and bluster this woman has harpooned out in all directions since Obama's candidacy .....the core basis for her motivation is some silly premise (shared with many so called conservatives) that somehow Obama should have never become president in the first place.

Yeah, she's concocted some emotional 'platform' centered around some goofy, half true, half ignorant gobble but I believe her primary motivation is she still can't believe Obama ascended to the office and she's hell bent on doing what she think she can to right that 'wrong' (in her mind)....facts or circumstances be damned.

Fatal flaw....IMO.

Only thing is that John Wayne Gacy DID live there and he was a fairly prominent businessman during the time he lived in Waterloo...Marion Morrison AKA John Wayne has no ties to Waterloo....HOWEVER, he WAS born in Winterset, Iowa (which isn't really close to Waterloo...BUT, it is in the same State obviously). Soooooo, playing Devil's advocate...I believe it was a poor choice of people to bring up in Waterloo...assuming she actually knew John Wayne was from Iowa....but probably it was an honest mistake (or maybe she meant that since John Wayne was from Winterset...that he belonged to all of Iowa...Waterloo included). I mean, she doesn't strike me as being all that bright...so how would she have known John Wayne Gacy had lived in Waterloo? I mean, I'm sure they don't go around advertising it! Ha ha ha! I believe it would have been more easily known that John Wayne was from Iowa than John Wayne Gacy had lived in Waterloo. Just sayin'.
