They do have healthy(er) food on their menu like their premium grilled chicken sandwiches and their grilled chicken salads with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Their yogurt parfait with granola and strawberries is a healthy dessert choice as well as apple slices.
You can eat healthy at any major fast food place but why would you want to? I want my big Mac and fries. But I only eat there occasionally.
The fast fooders were challenged concerning the garbage they offered. They rose to the occasion to offer a healthy menu without abandoning their business model. Maybe even profiting. It costs more for the packaging of the salad than the actual ingredients. I know what to expect with a $3 burgher vs a $10 one. The healthy people know the difference with their salads also.
Sort themselves out? LOL, McDonald's has been around nearly 80 years. Like all companies, their purpose is to generate income, but to their credit they have added some relatively healthy options to the menu.
