I'll probably rent it. I don't buy many video games because the so called "replay" value of most titles is shit to me. Once I beat the game I lose interest. I'm not good enough to really enjoy the online aspect of any game!

According to a review I read , this game takes a very long time to complete , so at least you know that you well get a good value for your buck .

I didn't like BioWare's other games, KoToR and Jade Empire for example, but I am interested in this title, it's more shooter than regular RPG, but I wonder if it's Oblivion big. I spent 134 hours playing Oblivion, is Mass Effect that big?

Really did like KoToR or Jade? Hmm, I'm guessing that this game will be a lot better. I really like those games though. I thinking about picking up Mass Effect tonight.
I don't really see it being as big as Oblivion, though. I mean, I've over 200 hours in that one. I think there is an end to the game...I think.

I'm gonna have a go, but it's got BIG expectations to live up to. My pre-gaming thoughts are "overrated". But hey, that might change after I actually play it.

its going to have a hell of a lot of reply value due to the options you make even after finishing it once or twice you will still be able to reply it and make new ones, well looking forward to this game, in my books it game of the year already.

Well I got it tonight, and I am impressed! It's worlds apart from Knights and Jade. I blindedly bought the guide....I think that was good that I did. This game looks fairly deep.

I heard that if you make Shepard a woman there's a lesbian sex scene somewhere in the game, tempting...

If ME has a deep system were you custom design Shepard's face/sex etc, can I make him look like Ron Jeremy? Y'know for a laugh.

I got it yesterday and so far I like it very much . It's a bit like Kotor because of the Good/bad system but the rest seems different and better . Xbox magazine claimed that this is the best xbox 360 game thusfar so I hope they are right . It looks to be true from what I have seen since I have started playing .

so come one spill some more details for us that have not got it, what's it like is it a FPS style combat or point and click like KOTOR, dose it really play smoothly without stops like promised and are you enjoying it ? and how many out of 10 would you give it ? perfer to hear from a fellow gamer than some gimp writing for a mag !!

The fighting in the game is done in real time and the perspective is 3rd person . It does play smoothly with the occasional auto save that freezes the game for a second or two but nothing annoying . The game is pretty much fun all around , I haven't seen anything I don't like in the game so far . One of the best thing in the game is the story , it's a great sci-fi adventure worthy of making a movie out of it . So I would give a rating of 9.5/10 to this game . If you are a fan of action rpgs it's definitely a must have .

and a must i will buy as soon as i get the money for it, loved KOTOR by the same people and jade empire was ok just lacking replay value, but i have heard this game has tons and tons. i belive that one choice in the game effects other things so depending on what you do shapes the rest of the story, but it only stuff i have read or heard about the game. can't wait to get my sticky hands on it myself ha ha thanks bud for the info

I got it, beat it because its so damn addicting and I rushed through it. But the good thing about it is, there are a lot of side quests, and I know there is more than one ending. I started another character and I am still having fun with the Game.

I've been playing it for a few hours now and if the game continues like this, this might well be my Game of the Year, it's really, really good.

Oh, and my female Shepard looks like a cross between an utter lesbian and Sophie Ellis Bextor.

Just finished it, 19 hours, without a doubt this is the best game of 2007, thankfully BioWare have announced not only downloadable content, but the 2 sequels will be released on Current Gen consoles!

Closing boss fight at the end kicks serious ass.

I'm looking foward to playing Mass Effect. I'm a fan of Bioware's games and from what everyone posted so far, it won't disappoint.
