The fact I have yet to ignore you, should reflect how high on my priorities list you sit. So please dont celebrate just yet.

Read my post again "MULTIQUOTED".

Could we get back on topic, just maybe?

sure its money grab as ME1,ME2 both didn't do good number and EA is known for this shit

but how are they porting an "inferior" version?,hell we haven't even seen the game.

and what does "360 version being fine" have anything to do with this?????????

they aren't porting half the game, they just porting 2nd game of the story

Both Mass Effects did great numbers on the 360 so I have no idea where you got that from. They're importing an inferior product because without the original it they are essentially porting half a game to the PS3. The series is made to be played through completely. The ability to bring your choices from the first game to the second and then to the third is a major feature of the series, so why remove one of the most hyped parts of the game just to give it to people who are too cheap to buy a 360? They're going to get an inferior product.

ME1 did around 2.3m copies and ME2 has done only 1.9m

they are good numbers but nowhere near great for such a great game.

and numbers could be way more if multi-platform

no you are very wrong here.

its not half the game but half the story.

and they have already said they will provide a seamless introduction,i'm not saying it will be good but it is not half the game

man what the hell is going in ur mind?

there are many people who are just clinging on their 360's for a few games and mass effect is one of them and even some who played the first one but sold their 360 before ME2 released

so they will easily be able to go fully on PS3,yeah the choice forwarding wouldn't be there but it isn't an inferior product either.they are giving the full game itself atleast

you can say that they are breaking up the tradition of the game but ME2 itself isn't inferior in anyway

Getting rid of one of the major features of the game = inferior.

I had Xbox 360 and was able to play ME 1. Then it broke last year so I got a PS3 slim when they came out. Lucky for me, I was planning to get a 360 again, in the future, just to play ME 2. Phew, I do feel for the 360 fans. Then again look at how they got FF13, and also getting Metal Gear Rising. But Mass Effect wasn't truly a 360 exclusive because it was also available on PC.

You are the example this thread needs

btw why do you feel for the 360 fans?

A rare example. Just because it suits his situation that he moved consoles, this might apply to a handful of mass effect players.

Its a strange decision to have made, moving a game across consoles mid way through a trilogy. If it were the reverse and we saw a sequel game moving to the xbox, leaving us without access to the first, how many of us would play it?

this isn't a rare example

there are many ME1 who don't have or sold their 360 and now own a PS3,and now ME2 coming to PS3 so they won't need to buy a 360 again. This is SONY's strategy to keep consumers from buying the other console nothing else and giving their customers as much as possble

abt moving across console, they are still on 360 and PC so atleast who are already there will experience the game.they aren't taking anything away

Can you provide numbers/figures/proof that this is not a rare example? Im not asking for a list of names, but how can you know this is not a rare example. By rare I suggest maybe 100-500 people this exact situation might affect.

There really is no point engaging you in debate. You will not open your arguement to the point you will accept or even consider an other stand point on it.

alot of people have bought PS3's recently,

alot of people are mainly playing on PS3,

alot of people are just holding on to their 360's for few games

alot of people now don't have to go out to buy a 360 to play the game

alot of people played 1st on the PC but like to play in on consoles

i have been tracking weekly sales for the past 4 years years.you learn alot how much strategies like these can effect

ME2 might sell just 500k but surely ME3 will sell 1m on PS3 and that is what SONY aims.

like you do except anybody's opinion, even consider.nah you just do i don't like multi-quote and i like to give neg rep cause you don't agree with me

what are these things youve posted? They look like answers on a dysliexic scrabble board.

these are companies that track sales data like neilsen but neilsen doesn't do that much gaming not that particular

also if you being a gamer don't know famitsu, the biggest gaming magazine in japan.you need to check youself

ever heard getting a 40/40 from famitsu is very hard thing?it is one of the biggest

I know people who are excited about getting Mass Effect 2 on the ps3. The game was designed for people who haven't played the first one to be able to pick up and play. Granted, its way better if you have completed Mass Effect, but still a great game if you haven't and there is so much in game dialogue and history you can pick up the first game real easy. Plus this is EA we are talking about. Their president even said they'll make money any way they can, regardless of quality. In this case, their money grubbing path has benefited ps3 owners.

Yes...because a japanese magazine is so easy to pick up here in the Uk.

I personally dont establish myself as a gamer by tracking sales data or reading import magazines, I play games!

I dont portray myself as a know it all, I dont condescend others with my fantastic knowledge of who plays what on which console etc.

This thread has gone way off topic and I have lost interest. If people on a ps3 want to play ME2 without having played ME1, how does that affect me? It doesnt, so they can do what the hell they want.

If anyone wants to discuss Mass Effects game play, story, needs a little help, please PM or direct me to a thread that does. Good day gentlemen!
