FORT WORTH, Texas - A man who found out the bone implanted in his neck to relieve back pain was stolen from a corpse is suing a medical technology company and several tissue processing businesses, including two in Tennessee.

James Livingston, 44, of Weatherford, does not seek a specific monetary amount in his suit filed in New York last month against Minneapolis-based Medtronic Inc. for fraud and negligence.

You know, this really hits home. I've always thought that 1978 Cadillac they placed in MY neck was stolen.

And people wonder ...

And people wonder why medical costs continue to rise. Too many freak'n lawyers in this country with nothing better to do.

I for one am hard pressed on this one if I take the 'serious thought' route. I think I would want to sue too. I would not want stolen bones or organs placed in my body under any circumstances, even if it where my only chance to live. Its just not right on so many levels. If its given by the donor that's a horse of a different color as they say. *shrugs*

I think looking past the humor and then past the "omg another silly lawsuit" aspect of it it comes across very differently. What of the family of the poor soul it was stolen from? Many points to the story I think. Once again, IMHO only of course. ;)
