The Declaration of Independance didn't made the people of the 13 colonies actually independant. They claimed they were but they weren't before 1783, when the Treaty of Paris was signed. Before that, they were still subjects of the King. Traitors to the crown but still subjects ot the king. Just like the Confederates were still US Citizens

Let me make things very clear concerning Macron. Macron is a fucking tool, he was elected by people with big money and backed up by Brussels but also by most of the former Hollande voters who are clueless socialist/leftist dingbats and retards, he puts the European interests before the French interests, he also increased taxes on the middle class and welcomed more than 300000 immigrants who leech off health care, free social security and social before the french born citizens and all this paid by tax payers. Macron also gave 1 billion dollars for Africa rather than caring and fixing things which are deteriorating each year in France. A president who cares more about immigrants than about his own people as well as who cares more about fixing other countries than his own, doesn't deserve any respect and more especially when he has a 21% approval rate . So don't even get me started about patriotism. Trump cares about caring and fixing his own country before caring of the other countries first and that my friend is patriotism.
