Very telling, indeed.
What I learned from this is that, to him, being POTUS isn't a vocation. It's not even a job. It's a hobby, it's a joke. That's why he refused to get paid, because being POTUS is just something he does in his freetime, when he's not busy tweeting or watching Fox News or tweeting while watching Fox News.
Even if I do not share his political views, even if he despises much of what he did as POTUS, I respect Georges W. Bush because he sincerely tried to do good, to do wat he though was best for the country, for the american people he did the best he could according to his values. And even if he wasn't very smart, at least he knew he wasn't so he tried to surroind him with smart people (or people he thought were smart, even if, to me, he made very poor choices), people he would listen and trust.
Trump is very different : He's not here, for the country or the people, he doesn't give a shit about that. He's here to make money, to boost his brand and to secure business deals he couldn't do without being in office. He has no values, no principles, he would do (or say) anything he thought copuld be profitable for him. He's ignorant ont most issues but he thinks he knows best than people who've worked on these issues for decades. He surrounds him not with people who would give him advices, people he could learn from or people who would offer him a different perspective but people who would bow to him, do everything he asks them, bow to him and, most important, make him make even more money.
That's why I don't respect Trump, I despise him.
