Liberal vs. Conservative

Which statement would you agree with most?

  • I tend to lean more towards the conservative view on issues.

    Votes: 58 27.8%
  • I tend to lean more towards the liberal view on issues.

    Votes: 94 45.0%
  • I don't really associate myself with being either a C or L

    Votes: 40 19.1%
  • I'm too jaded or distinterested about politics to care.

    Votes: 17 8.1%

  • Total voters
    209
I don't like politcial "labels" myself, in fact I get nervous everytime someone teels me he completely agrees with any political party, but I thought I'd ask the question anyway, "Do you lean more towards the Conservative or Liberal side of the political spectrum?"

P.S. I realize the definition of those two term differ greatly depending upon where you live.... for instance, the Democrats in the US are much more conservative than the Liberal parties in most European countries.... so just I suggest that you define those two terms as you see fit.

Republicans are conservatives, georges. Since they have zero votes (as I write this), I assume that means you didn't vote for them or didn't vote at all.

I can picture Georges being somewhat of a Republican. Georges I've seen you take stands and make statements that are conservative .....but then again... there's alot of colorful stuff that comes out of you from time to time that seem pretty liberal. You're an interesting dude :D

I think I know Georges well enough to say he loves guns, the death penalty, and George W. Bush... all Republican mainstays.... but I try not to hold any of those against him! lol

Be a wise person is often matched with politics but i strongly doubt it , it's not because u watched a TV show and read the newspapaer than u know how it's work inside .

And belive me , one or another after all it's all the same shit .. good night :glugglug:

I am a hardcore conservative. (politically of coarse)
I live in Canada and I am a member of the Conservative Party of Canada. If I was american I would be republican.... Any who
Thats my two cents:2 cents:

Cheers:hatsoff:

There are always two sides to the coin. At least, I see that your first comment was meant to be funny. I jumped on it because we use to have a real a-hole get on one of these threads and be a real dick.

TV, reading , radio, who knows what is happening. I look at the descreptencies(sp?) between what one individual takes on one stand and changes it to sway the public depending on his competitor. My obivious point would be the jumping back and forth by the Dem candidate. I look for history and consistency.

I started this poll hoping to prove that being anticensorship (which I do assume most people here are) does not automatically make one a liberal, and I believe the roughly 50/50 spilt between those two choices demonstrates that. :)

As for myself, I voted Option 3... it really depends upon the issue. Also, my reasons for taking a particular stand on something may encompass both L and C values.... so I don't really like to associate myself with one side or the other.
:2 cents:

Im not Republican & Im not a Democrat either.... I'm just against George Bush

In the next election my vote will go to Kerry because he's not Bush.

well if i lived in the states i would never vote kerry. except roosevelt and kennedy all other democrat presidents prouved their unability to improve economics of the us as well as create jobs.Remember that mr bush created 300000 jobs two weeks ago.Under regan who is a republican the dollar was the strongest money and it reached values that it had never reached before.Dean fucked up the vermont and he was a democrat.I would like to see bush reelected.

Over Bush's term so far the U.S. economy has lost 1.6 million jobs. The gives him the worst job-creation record since Herbert Hoover (1928-32). For comparison, during Bill Clinton's eight years as president, the U.S. economy added 22.4 million jobs -- more than any previous president, and more than Reagan and Bush Sr. created in twelve combined years.

Bush is a Nazi !! . . . Not a good president in my books

Just look at this picture
