Len Lesser, best known for playing Jerry Seinfeld's beloved Uncle Leo on Seinfeld, has died. He was 88.
The veteran character actor died on Wednesday from pneumonia related to cancer. He was surrounded by friends and ****** in his Burbank, Calif., home at the time of his passing.
"Heaven got a great comedian and actor today," Lesser's ******** Michele said in a statement. "Thank you to all the people who helped make my ******'s last journey special, and surrounded with love. The doctors, nurses, and staff have been outstanding, and *** was in phenomenal hands. His passing was peaceful, with great dignity, and surrounded by those who loved him dearly."
Lesser's career in showbiz spanned more than 60 years and included roles on Green Acres, The Monkees, Get Smart, The Munsters, Mad About You and Everybody Loves Raymond.
Besides his ******** Michele, Lesser is survived by his *** David, ********-in-law Julie and three grandchildren.
