A porn board might not be the first place most people would turn to for advice on electronics but I know this board has people from all sorts of backgrounds.
I am going to buy an LCD monitor. I use AutoCad all day long and plays games all night(when not reading FreeOnes). A big mixture of games but the FPS games are probably hardest on the monitor.
I know gamers don't like LCD monitors. I'm doing it anyway, I'm hoping the LCD will be less painful to my eyes.
I am looking at the Acer 1951B

Response Time 2ms gray-to-gray (avg.); 2ms white-black-white (typ)

The contrast ratio and the brightness stats are slightly lower on the Viwsonic. I also noticed they don't list Display Color stats for the Viewsonic. This may meen it displays 16.2 million.
If you have 16.7 million colors that is an 8 bit panel right?
Has anyone seen these monitors up close, better yet have you played games on them?
The price is within 30.00 of eachother. I can't decide which to get.
If you have a suggestion other than these two let me know. I'd like to cap the price at $400(US)
