Hey guys, I have a major problem. When I start my laptop I get the blue screen with the message "Error c0000218 Unknown Hard Error". This happened after a virus or something caused an automatic restart.
I have a Dell C610 with Windows XP. I've tried last good config but it won't work. I tried system restore but it is switched off and cannot be switched on in safe mode, or so the laptop tells me.
I scanned with MalwareBytes, Stinger, AVG and Spybot but nothing worked, everything seems clean.
I've tried other things like changing setup in msconfig but nothing seems to fix it, I keep getting the same message.
Can anyone help me? I'm stuck without my laptop. I am on a borrowed PC at the moment. And if you give advice, please keep it simple and also let me know if it will delete my saved files, like music and pics and stuff. :helpme: :wave2:
