Lagarret Blount back by Nov7th

I originally thought his scholly should have been pulled but looking at everything that happened with the situation, he should be reinstated when his coach believes so.

He didn't instigate the situation and others have received less punishment for similar acts or worse.

I think the coach initially called it an "indefinite suspension" anyway & allowed Blount to practice & keep his scholarship. I think he wanted time to re evaluate the situation & get input from boosters/players/fans.

Blounts teammates must have spoken up for him & Blount must really be doing everything the school has aked of him since then.

There seems to be no ulterior motive as some suggest since the Oregon Ducks are 3-0 & doing just fine without Blount. Just a Coach, fanbase,ect.., who realized the crime probably didn't fit the punishment.

He can't return before Nov. 7 when the season is practically over, but Kelly seems to be looking out for the kids future. He can then get a few regular season games & a Bowl game under his belt.

Well then he should have been suspended pending a review. Don't say it's an indefinite suspension and then let him back in. Also the Duck's don't need him as they are 3-0 without him. Regardless his status in the NFL is over, well at least he might get drafted higher than Mike Crabtree.

If the Ducks don't need Blount(they are 3-0 without him I just pointed out) then I think it says more about the compassion/rationale of the coach who has to go into some kids living room(recruiting) & explain why he is so vindictive & unforgiving of kids that make mistakes. If they make a mistake would he try to ruin their futures as well?

Why would anyone want to play for a coach who is so vindictive & uncaring about the future of his players?:dunno:

Blount may not have a future in the NFL,but it won't be because of punching some taunting douchebag in the mouth. If he had the talent of Adrian Peterson or other great running Backs it would be no question he would be in the NFL(see Michael Vick).

He was only a 2nd or 3rd round prospect at the very best anyway. He still gets a shot if he keeps his nose clean.

I wish the kid & Coach Kelly the Best.

Please Blount was a projected top 10 pick in the draft, he lead the NCAA in rushing last year he has plenty of talent and an attitude of Pacman Jones.

Dude you don't know what the hell you are talking about. I'm watching his 'projection' on TV just before I typed this post. 2nd or 3rd round prospect.

Lagarrette Blount didn't crack the top 40 NCAA rushers last season(look it the hell up before you make such ignorant assessments) that was because he was Oregon's short yardage/goal line runner at 6'2 240. He may have led the nation with TD's (17)since he was their short yardage/goaline guy.

Please go look up Javid Best, Nowshon Marino & the other 50 or so running backs that outrushed Lagarrette Blount last season. Blount only rushed for a pedestrian 1002 yards.

Blount didn't even lead the pac 10 in rushing(Javid Best among others) in 2008. Blount may have not cracked the top 50 rushers in 2008.

Is anyone really surprised by this? Blount will be out of the NFL within three years and then will fall back on that degree he gets (hopefully). Ha ha ha ha ha ha
