Knotts Calls Obama, Haley Ragheads

Columbia, SC (WLTX)--Lexington County Republican Jake Knotts is in a bit of hot water following his controversial remarks on Nikki Haley and President Obama.

Knotts appeared on a Columbia internet talk show and used a racial slur to describe both Haley and Obama.

The program is called "Pub Politics" and on it Knotts said "We already got one ******* in the White House, We don't need a ******* in the Governor's Mansion.

Haley is of Indian-American descent and one of the show's host says Knotts made the comment after discussing Haley's background.

Okie Dokie, and so one lonely Lexington county politicon, (a jughead looking specimen if I may be so discriminating, :1orglaugh) therefore speaks for all of those who might have an inkling of a right wing tendency, is that way we're spinnin this thing?

Well, this whole thing reads like a parting shot if you ask me, as such, people tend to scratch, pinch, bite, kick, bludgeon and do or say irrational things prior to being released, particularly women, which unfortunately knothead is not but in general . . . .(<- I'm kidding about the inflammatory item BTW :jester: I just wanted to raise some brows and elevate some blood pressures, albeit temporarily)
Let's see, where was I . . oh yea, people often have a tendency of going over the top goofballs at or near the time of their termination and I think that jughead here is no exception as he sorta keys the company car as he walks down the driveway for the very last time, it's nuthin new under the sun that's for certain.

Anyway, the Democrats are going to have to stack up about 50 of these types of republican politicons to equal that of their one single former grand wizard

Damn it Ballzano, I walk away from the desk top for a few hours after already

But why the need for a defense in the first place? It was just a link to the story, no anti-GOP commentary. The woman, Nikki Haley, is a Republican. Until that horrible counter speech, it seemed the GOP was grooming Bobby Jindal to be the next big thing for the party. Nobody could even try to spin this into a "See, the GOP's a bunch of racists/hate Indians" story.

The guy's an idiot and that's it. Man, we're so conditioned to go on the defensive every time somebody from "our" side does dumb shit. Last week I was talking to a co-worker about Blumenthal's Vietnam lies and telling her exactly what had happened. Before I even finished, another co-worker heard us and yelled, "At least he served in the Corp unlike that asshole, Bush!"

The pool of representatives on either side will never improve if we try to justify or cancel out bad behavior by bringing up a similar example from the other side.

I'm not sure why this issue needs to be rehashed but it should be well known by now many southern conservatives were Democrats. Many of whom went by or became Dixie-crat, Bol weevil, State's Righters etc. They were largely anti civil rights and were Democrat in name primarily because of southern hatred for what Republican Abraham Lincoln did in the way of the American Civil War.

Beginning in 1948 the national Democratic platform began to embrace liberal ideas like civil rights, etc. which prompted many of the southern conservative Democrats to break ranks with the national party. Future Republican Strom Thurmond led an exodus of some southern conservatives who were unwilling to support civil rights, etc.

Some continued to switch parties and some like Byrd stayed while eventually shifting their beliefs.

The Byrd card is a good card to play on those who don't know the history or are unwilling to trump it with the David Duke card. A contemporary "racer" who's unrepentant in his views, a conservative and Republican.

I plan on keeping this quote on file for future reference, my Facetious friend. :D

My only point for bringing up byrd was, there was not constant urging and pressure for him to leave office. The media threw him a pass..... And therefore all the little peoples panties aren't in a bind either....... But if it was a republican well, scroll to top of post.

^ David duke is no longer in office and he called himself a republican. Republicans do not like him in their party, he was constantly repudiated. he had one term as a louisiana state rep. A trully poor, weak comparison to byrd

Byrd no longer believes as he did. Which in his day was not all that uncommon for conservative southern racists to hold office as Democrats in name because of their inherent hatred of anything associated with Lincoln...like Republican.

Why would there be a call for Byrd to resign when he (apparently) no longer believes as he did?

You're right, there is no comparison. Duke was elected to a republican office as an unrepentant racist. He has never disassociated from the KKK and proudly defends his views. Byrd today is not what Duke is. Byrd was already a Democrat who (apparently) changed his views.. Duke took his views to Republicans where they voted him in with them proudly on display. Again, you're right...there is no comparison.

Is it just me or is that Nikki Haley chick kind of cute? I'll be standing right behind her.... (better to check out her ass) :D
