Just picked up a PS3 from a friend last night

tartanterrier

Is somewhere outhere.
Can't go far wrong with Assassins Creed. I wish I had a go at Rogue before my PS3 packed in, I haven't had a PS since then.

Assassins Creed looks cool. Might have to check it out. Thanks!

Just finished Resident Evil 5. On a five star rating I would give it a solid 5. Just started "The Last of Us"

Finished "The Last of Us" for the second time. This has to be on my top 5 list of fucking bad ass games. Now I'm loading "Uncharted"

Uncharted 1 and 2 was good. Graphics were amazing.

I'm trying to avoid recommending games you already have listed here because a lot of good ones have already been covered.
You should look into the weekly PSN sales if you haven't already. Every week there is a sale, and once a month there is a weekend "flash sale" which can have games as low as $1.

Someone mentioned Far Cry 3, but did you try Far Cry 3: ***** Dragon? It's a standalone expansion which keeps the same controls, but you couldn't tell it's a related game. I think I posted the trailer in the games board, but it's hilarious. If you grew up in the 80s/90s you HAVE to check it out. Speaking of 80s, if you watched Transformers, you want to check out Transformers: Devastation. It really looks like you're playing the 80s movie, and they even brought back all voice actors and the music composers!

If you like the adventure games with a puzzle twist like Assassin's creed or Tomb Raider, an oldie that holds up well is Mirror's Edge. I just love the atmosphere in the game and really can't say enough good stuff about it.

A friend is on this Mafia III kick right now but he had mentioned The "Far Cry 3". Ill have to look it up

CrimsonBolt

I AM A SLUT FOR RYAN GOSLING
Far Cry 3 is one of the best game on PS3 has for Mafia the second is great i loved it! but the third sucks, you do the same thing over and over again... Fortunately a friend loan me the game so didn't have to buy it. :)

I know it was already mentioned but Red Dead Redemption is a must. And surprised at no mention for Fallout 3, one of my favourite games ever. Fallout: New Vegas was good too but after a certain amount of gameplay the save file gets too big and it can become unplayable as all hell on ps3. So i'd stick to good old Fallout 3 if I was you.

I've played Red Dead Redemption and it's fucking bad ass. Only thing I don't like about it is that it's an "Open World" game like GTA, Scarface, and many others where you can run around and do pretty much anything you want. I like games with more of a story line I suppose, adventure. Diablo? Resident Evil?
