Just curious: interracial dating?

I'm just curious and I am not looking to start a fight here, as I know this maybe a sensitive subject for some. But I'm just curious if anyone has been in an interracial relationship and run into any issues?
I only ask because I started seeing this great girl, she's a mix of black and asian and I'm just a white dude, and I've started running into issues because of her from her family, my own and some friends. I personally don't see what the big deal is but I'm just curious

I'm a white guy who's two longest relationships have been with a Latina and a black girl. In my experience, race really hasn't been an issue at all, but occasionally culture is. With my Latina girl, there were occasional awkward moments: language barriers with her family, different cultural expectations of what "dating" means, etc... But those were all very small problems, and nothing you should worry about if you're going into an interracial relationship.

In the end, race really doesn't mean anything. If there's love, any relationship will work. If any of your family or friends are giving you crap... well... then tell them to go fuck themselves.

I am white and I ran into a little of this problem when I was dating an Indian girl when I was in college. Her family just was so protective of her that they wouldn't even let her leave the house without her mother except when she was going to classes. We basically had to cut classes in order to do anything together sexually or otherwise. There was just no way they would accept her being with a white guy. Also, she was one of those who was pre-arranged by her parents to marry a particular guy. Eventually we broke up and she is now married to this guy. No hard feelings though...our breakup was not readily attributable to the restraints put on our relationship.

individual differences between people are not directly concerned with race. not every white boy is suitable for every white girl. there are always can be some issues with family, parents, morals, religion etc in particular case, not depending on race.
I agree that the problem can be not in the color of the skin itself, but in the culture and traditions of the family. it is kinda stereotype, that people of different race represent different way of life, with different values and conceps. I do not think that it is relevant inside of the USA. It might be correct when talking about people from different countries, for example there are might be problems with people from middle east, or some asian countries, not because the color/ethnicity itself, but because of their conceptions of what relations between male and female should be like, because of their beliefs, ideology, morals etc. People are different, that's the fact. It is mistakenly to explaine that difference and incompatibility with ethnicity, but often ethnicity in a combination with nationality (I mean in what country that people live) is a sign that they represent different world, different mode of life, and that is the real reason of discrepancy.

but anyways if boy and girl are really fond of each other, they can find common language and some kind of compromise.

Well, I had experiences with asians ( and an half japanese half american ), latinas and half black, and I never had problems with them ( I'm white ). The first asian girl I dated was pretty cute, but she didn't want to have sex until marriage and her family refused to accept me ( I'm half american half norwegian and I was raised as a redneck, so ), so I had to break up. Another asian girl was pretty wild but she was adopted, so I never had problem with her family ( and her parents were from Alabama too ). With the Latina girl ethnicity I had some problems ( but not with her, she later became a quite famous bubble ass pornstar ) because she speaks english fluently but all her family spoke spanish. I never had problems with the half japanese and the half black, since their parent were an interracial couple too ( I marrying the half asian girl, but she broke up ). Being an interracial couple isn't easy sometimes, but there are manys all over the world ( black guys are "stealing" our chicks, for example ).
