Wasn’t ever going to happen. If he had stepped down before May 30th there would have been a special election. He was holding out so the governor could appoint Cindy. All in the fucking family. McCain thought he owned that seat, not the people of Arizona.
Did you know that a week before Trump made his “ I like people that weren’t captured” comment that McCain insulted Trump personally and called all of his supporters “ crazies”? You didn’t because the media didn’t report it. That’s one of the many reasons that many republicans can’t stand him and many leftists love him. That is until they’d have to vote for him.

Kinda sounds like the swamp is draining itself without any help. Getting tired of hearing his name along with Pelosi anyways. They should take his pension and medical expense savings and put it towards the border wall. He would have wanted it that way considering he supposedly fought for the countries well being and security. If he was that great of a fighter he wouldn't have been shot down in the first place. I always try and separate the honorable and heroic things that McCain did as a military man from the politician. Just like I try to separate the Donald Trump fucking around on his wife with dirty porn stars from the guy that is doing a fantastic job as president.

Ask the 134 sailors on the USS Forrestal that he killed because he was reckless. He should have been court martialed for that offense. Only his father, Admiral John McCain II, saved him from that embarrassment. I agree with xfire. He was a traitor. President Nixon pardoned Lieutenant Commander John McCain. John McCain was convicted of treason and sentenced to death by firing squad until he was pardoned by the President. "As a POW, McCain spilled his guts about everything and helped the NVA by telling them the flight patterns of U.S. Fighters which led to a 64% increase in fighters being shot down." He later retired from the Navy in 1981 as a Captain.

Since no one has corrected you yet. First, it was Pool Hustler who called McCain a "traitor" earlier in this thread but he said that facetiously mocking some on the right.
Second, McCain was not responsible for the USS Forrestal disaster for fuck sake. This was covered already in this thread. McCain was not in the bird that had the missile misfire, he wasn't in the bird that got hit but the one next to it. By the time he escaped from his cockpit, the chain reaction had started and bombs were being cooked off. He didn't "wet start" anything.
And if you know anything about the military, and the Navy in particular, if 134 people are killed and an aircraft carrier is put out of commission because you were reckless, you aren't going to avoid a court martial, I don't care who the hell your father is.
Can you cite anything officially that John McCain was convicted of treason and sentenced to death by firing squad but pardoned by President Nixon? Then McCain went on to be elected and served 6 terms as a U.S. senator being a convicted traitor. And flight patterns - call this a guess, but I think the flights patterns all ended up over their respective targets where they were shot down.
