I actually have a friend who lives in Pretoria and she told me some of the not so well known stuff about him. The stuff apart from him being guilty in at least 13 corruption cases.
He RAPED (no kidding) a HIV positive prostitute and gave an official statement about this later: Don't worry - I showered after sex so I can't get the infection!
The prostitute was simply bribed/forced to shut up about the rape part.
I love South Africa but I deeply hate this guy.

Having one wife is the norm in our western culture now. Its not a global cultural norm, nor a historical norm. In most cultures (all?)-multiple wives/women was considered acceptable-even is to this day.
The man is a proud Zulu, why are you judging him by the norms of western values?
Did Ghengis Khan have one wife? Did the Mughals have 1 women? Or the Emperors of Rome?
No. History tells us that multiple wives IS the global and historic norm. It is our societies that have adjusted, we cannot export our values forcefully.
I'm sure he's supporting his kids.
And what is an acceptable number of kids?
I come from a big family. We are all college educated, live in a nice town, big house, 2 cars...so my parents had no problem providing for us. You cannot assign an acceptable family size.
Two per couple, or one for each person (or less). That way it will lead to the stabilization of the country's and world's population future since there are no longer enough of the world's resources to go around, and the world is running out of habitable places to live.

I am very aware that many cultures now and throughout history have considered multiple wives to be the norm. That doesn't make me think it's right, it's still fucked up. Marriage should be between two people who love each other and no one else.
In these cultures, are the women allowed to have more than one husband? Nope. That hardly seems fair. Time for a change, equality between sexes, anyone? That is something that seperates our culture from many others.
In my opinion, and that is the keyword in this post, all those other cultures are wrong for letting it happen.

helping a contractor get exclusive rights to manufacture armaments.
While he was in court, his followers stood outside chanting. When he reappeared outside the court, Zuma led the happy crowd in his favourite song "Bring Me My Machinegun."
The chant used to be "One Settler One Bullet."
This is the newly elected President Of South Africa.
He is a Zulu, which means that for the first time Zulus now are properly represented in the country. Maybe now they will finally stop killing Xhosa and Sotho in Kwazulu Natal as they have been doing for generations.
Gee, I wonder why the South African Rand is 12 to 1 Dollar.
If it wasn't so serious, it would be hilarious.
I wonder whether local comedic genius Leon Schuster will make a funny film about this now.

Please explain to me again why having 3 wives and 18 children makes him a "real" man?
So those people who have fathered a child or two and are married to one woman or not at all arent "real" men then? They are some sort of non-male, non-female hybrid being that should be shunned at all costs, right?
Having 18 children is totally irresponsible if you want my opinion. Does this man support all of these children? Or are some of them a drain on the welfare and medical systems? In a world where there are less and less resources to go around it is - as I have already said - irresponsible.
