God I hope it was just the heat. It had been 4 years since I made it to a theme park so that could have played a part too...

She wants to go again in september, but I thought they were closed by then. Of course they'd be open around halloween on the weekends. Guess that would work.

i hope so too! haven't been lately, but i am just a bit older and looking forward to a trip sometime this year. The only coaster that made me a bit dizzy was "Batman".

As for when they are open, I believe its Labor Day till Memorial Day (which is in Sept)

I think your symptoms are more weather related. Last summer I went to Great America and felt sick after riding the Eagle. It was hot as hell and I also ate something before I rode the ride so the combination of the two made me queasy.

My dad rode coasters two days after having a major seizure at 49 yrs old and he was still fine. He's a crazy fuck though.

As long as your motion sickness is limited to roller coasters you should be fine. If you start experiencing motion sickness when you're riding your girlfriend, then you have something to be concerned about. :hatsoff:

I suggest you stay away from those revolving tea cups also. I think those mess with people worse than rollercoasters.

No beer not even the night before. We didn't wait in any lines. We bought the flash pass thing. Very well worth the money, I must say, especially with the heat!

Well, I'm older than you and I don't have a problem with roller coasters....but
I can't play games like DOOM anymore because they give me motion sickness...never had a problem in the past. Must have been because when I used to play DOOM, I did it on a 21" CRT which I was only sitting about 8 inches from....:1orglaugh

We went to Six Flags Great America yesterday. And I realized I can't handle roller coasters like I used to :weeping:

Maybe it was the heat, I dunno, I doubt it though. Every one of the coasters we went on fucked with my stomach a little. Nothing I couldn't handle. And a couple of em gave me a mild headache.

I grew up on these damn things and now I almost can't deal with em. I'm still perfectly fine with the drops, but other than that, I couldn't wait for the ride to be over so I could get back to stable ground...

This happened to anyone else as they get older? Or am I just uniquely fucked. My girlfriend was having the same problems.
