Well, my steward for the past week was one of those people who can either be really great, or a real prick. I got screwed over yesterday because they cut the crew back from 58 to 14, which should've meant that journeymen would get first pick for staying or going home. I was all set to stay, since we were on double time at just over $70 an hour, and there was still quite a bit to get done. However, the steward made his choice of who stayed and who didn't, and a bunch of journeymen and apprentices got cut while a bunch of overhires stayed on. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed.

in my experience spleen many times its the ones that work hard, never call out, do the bulk of the work and keep the company earning that are mis treated the most.

But I have two dozen clients that work my ass off, typically 2-3 bosses at any client at any time. But the pay is good and I work at a desk. Can't complain.
