Is "Scary Movie" as good as "Shaun of the Dead"?

I don't like Shaun of the Dead. I find it to be one of THE most overrated and over-hyped movies ever created!. It does not live up to the buzz that surrounds it. At least not in my eyes anyway. Simon Pegg is as funny as a fire in an orphanage. So I guess my vote goes to Scary Movie. This might be an unpopular opinion here as this movie is for some reason hyped above and beyond it's contents quality. But there you go, it is what it is.

I think both movies are pretty flawed. So it's like asking if poop jokes are as funny as pee pee jokes.
