:bs: Oh Bullshit! Don't you dare encourage this guy like that. This seems like one of those threads where the guy will end up being :ban2: by the end of the day.

I don't have a problem with the question in the slightest.

I also happen to not agree with it in the slightest.

I think he had a couple of great seasons. Was hurt a ton. And played rather averagely for Detroit when he was THE starter.
I thought he was a great backup. But starter? No.

Well he did marry Holly Robinson. That's worth something.

While I did enjoy watching his comeback for the Panthers, he is in no way even close to the greatest. A big fat NO!

He threw over 10 touchdowns in a season a total of twice, and never over 15.
Payton Manning threw 49 last season alone. 49 is more than HALF of of Peete's career total.

And not to mention Elway, Marino, Montana, Unitas...

Why am I wasting my time with this....

Personally. I never judge a QB by how many TD's they throw. I judge them on their quarterback rating. A would rather have a QB that throw 20 TD's a year and 5 Interceptions. Then one that throws 50 TD's per year and throws 40 Interceptions.

The quarterback is not the only person on a football team.
A comeback, mentioned above, relies on all the players doing their job.

Well put, but with Jim Kelly going down, it was quite a feat! :glugglug:

How dumb is this really... come on...

Ok, you told us that you thought he was the greatest quarterback ever, but can you tell us why you think that way. I'm curious.

Even most Lion fans hope to never hear his name again. I sort of liked him though. While living in Michigan and not being a Lions fan I could always point up at the screen and laugh at them. Of course they could always counter telling me I was a Bears fan and they were just as bad. Does anybody remember Rodney was with Detroit and they had three lousy QB that they couldn’t decide on? Those were the days.

Do you at least have anything to support this statement??? How can you say he is better than Elway, Montana, Unitas, Marino, etc. etc. ???

He, of all people, married Holly Robinson.

And it's not even like he was a star.
