Is "Ocean's Eleven" as good as "Casino"?

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Now this is a pretty good comparison, IMO. Hard to say. I like both, but both also have their faults. Both have great casts and good storylines, but both also feature a few cheap & easy (predictable) attempts at plot twists.

Ya got me on this one. IMO, this is a toss-up. :dunno:

No. I don't think so. Casino is a much better film!

Remake. Nobody cares about the Sinatra original.

:nono: Well I do.

George Clooney's garbage, Ocean's Eleven, Oceans Twelve, and Ocean's Twelve are not even in the same league with the Sinatra and Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop) classic. And throw in Angie Dickinson for good measure. Did you ever see it?

The only redeeming features in the George Clooney films was that Don Cheadle and the late Bernie Mac :angels: appeared in them.

As for the movies themselves, Ocean's Eleven is about a heist. Casino is a story about the mob influence in the casino industry. Totally unrelated.

As for the actors and actresses themselves, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, and Sharon Stone run circles around George Clooney, Andy Garcia, Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts in (12) and Al Pacino in (13).

The one and only.

This. Just all of this.

The Ocean's movies are the epitome of being able to make pigs fly in a movie. No attempt at plausibility or credibility. Hell, give me a good director and cameraman, I'll break into Ft. Knox using a paperclip and two sticks of Wrigley's. For the record, that's fine. These are buddy flicks that are just meant to be fun, and I don't **** them for that.

One thing I've noticed about Casino was that they really did their homework and all the little (and probably unnoticed) details about casino work were spot on. And this movie was also based on real people and real events. BTW, the parking lot where the bomb blew up the car is Tony Romo's on Sahara.....it's still there.
