First let me start by saying I'm sorry if I'm moaning here.
Right to the point now -
Are thieves now so advanced that it is pointless trying to potect our property anymore.Last night I went to bed know that my motorbike was all locked up and safe as it has been for some years.This morning I **** to a scene,that looks like a war film.
It has it's own little home specially built for it.To solid steel gates padlocked with a uncuttable lock.That didn't stop them as they could get through that they went to work on the hinges on one gate.Destroying one gate and damaging the wall too.Then once inside the (very sarcastic here) neatly removed its cover folded it and nicely placed it on the wall.Now this is the cheapest thing of the lot I wouldn't have minded them damaging this.Next the top of the range chains and locks,4 in total and all connected to anchors buried in the concrete floor.The cheapest of these was £120 UK pounds and the dearest £250 UK pounds.
So in total they caused about £2000 UK pounds worth of damage.Now I know I can get the damage to gates and wall back off the insurance and the motorbike too was insured of course.But this causes me lots of problems as work is nearly 20 miles away.I'm not allowed to drive due to a old knee injury,so now have to put some else out to give me a lift till I get sorted out.
My point is here is this,is spend loads of money pointless to protect something that the thieves are going to get anyway ?
