Is Israel A Friend To America?

I want to leave this open-ended and general. The only thing I ask is that you stay within the framework of the meaning of the word "friend". Friends reciprocate many times putting their needs and priorities aside even when there is no common cause for the sole purpose of helping a friend. Friends do not operate on a policy of, "The more you give, the more you owe."

No, they aren't our friend. They are an ally, and while not absolutely trustworthy, they do help us out from time to time. It's more of "my enemies enemy, is my friend", type of situation. On the plus side of it all, they tend not to fly planes into our buildings, or drag our dead soldiers through their streets.

A good question is: "Would they still be my friend if I stopped giving them free stuff?"
Look at the reaction they gave Canada and other NATO countries when they said they stopped military exports to them.

Like Mr. Day said, it's more of a marriage of convenience. The US benefits from having them fight a proxy war and keeping some of the radical governments at bay, but that benefit goes out the window when the IDF starts more fires than are worth the trouble.

Maybe I should have asked "Is Israel An Ally Of America?". I asked the "friend" part because Israel puts so much energy convincing us they are our friend while they pass out those weighty envelopes to corrupt our Congress. Israel being our "ally" has given us other "allies" like the ones who overthrew Assad. Those "allies" are cut from the same cloth as the ones who attacked us on 9/11. The way our government operates I'm not sure if they were ever enemies of them, at least. As far as enemies how was Syria an enemy of America and why did we involve ourselves through whatever means to overthrow a secular government that had a shred of stability? Israel tries to convince us what is good for them is good for us.

You also cannot use one Holocaust as an excuse to commit another. I do believe the Zionists are interested in creating this Greater Israel Project. The desire was to go up to Damascus. Looks like they are pretty close to that part. How many people have the IDF killed since October 7, including many of their own people through The Hannibal Directive? How many murders and other atrocities will they commit in constructing Greater Israel? As an American I want no part of this. Unfortunately the guy I voted for and the woman I voted against do. Netanyahu brags that he has "America wrapped around his finger". If they make our foreign policy for us and bought off our Congress then they do. I can't put into words how furious that makes me.
