Inter Milan Win The Champions League!

As a long suffering Inter fan they finally win the Champions League, defeating Bayern Munich 2-0 in the final with both goals coming from Argentine Diego Milito. Great accomplishment by manager Jose Mourinho who looks set to leave and take over at Real Madrid

Mourinho's the S-H-I-T. Always remember that!

Having said that, will Mourinho take Eto'o with him to Real Madrid?

Eto's on a roll. What's the betting of this -

2009 - Wins champions league with Barca
2010 - Wins champions league with Inter
2011 - Wins champions league with Real

Could happen. :)

Eto will never go back to Madrid because they treated him bad when they were always loaning him out and never gave him a chance and Madrids prejudiced fans will never accept him as he is an ex-Barca player. But anything is possible in football for the right £$£$£$£$

Why would Jose Mourinho leave? :dunno: What would winning at Real give him that winning at Inter-Milan can't?

When is enough, enough?

You just don't get it. Zenith reached - time to move on. That's why I retired from the rep race when I was the first one to hit 300,000.

great game, milan played like a team and i thought bayarn relied on robben too much. would have been nice if milito had gotten a hat trick.

You were on your knees for months in order to get your 300k rep :thefinger I did it "the right way" :thefinger

He's damn right Titsrock. The special one has done it all. Time to go somewhere else and do it again!

I guess this is where my Americanism kicks in. I think there's something to be said for loyalty. His ego got him thrown out of Chelski, and living in Italy making millions prolly ain't a bad life, eh? :dunno:

The grass isn't always greener....

^^ No. It's always easy to achieve your aims if you're smarter than the rest of the pack.

Mourinho is clearly smarter than any other manager in Europe. If he could make it in Porto, he can make it anywhere. :sing:

He has told the press recently that he wants to be back to England. I think Liverpool and Mourinho would be a perfect match ...:anonymous:

Bayern's problem wasn't relying too much on Robben, but that Bayern have only got 2 creative players (Robben & Ribery) and with Ribery missing, it was always going to look like Robben vs Inter.

He always likes to leave a club on a high so why would he stay as he just won everything possible, also he and the Italian media never got on and Mourinho loves a good bit of competitive banter. Madrid won't suit him either and he will either argue with the president or fascist supporters due to his temper or they will dislike him for playing too defensive (as they did with Capello), he really wants the Man Utd job when Alex Ferguson retires. :yesyes:

In Europe there are three major leagues - the premiership, la liga and serie a. Jose has won the premiership title twice, the italian title and the only really big prize left is the spanish title. No offence to the german and french fans reading this but that is the last big trophy Jose has to win.

As a Liverpool fan, I saw congratulations to Inter, great feeling to win it after so long (similar to us in 2005).

To achieve a treble is a great achievement, gotta say a big well done!
