Injured Iraq war veterans sue VA head

Frustrated by delays in health care, injured Iraq war veterans accused VA Secretary Jim Nicholson in a lawsuit of breaking the law by denying them disability pay and mental health treatment.

The lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, filed Monday in federal court in San Francisco, seeks broad changes in the agency as it struggles to meet growing demands from veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.

They've convinced me in this article. Our brave servicemen and women deserve a higher level of care than they are getting. What astounded me most was the extraordinarily slow pace at which these claims are processed. It's just unacceptable. That said, I'm glad I am not the one who has to figure out how this situation can be improved. We should remember that this is truly one of the less obvious "prices of war". If we remember that, maybe we won't get so heavily involved in the first place.:dunno:

If anything, this should show and convince the American people that we weren't prepared for any aspect of this war.

GO FOR IT BOYS and GALLS!

GIVE 'EM HELL!

cheers,
