Infected pornstars Cameron Bay and boyfriend Rod Daily call for more tests

Cameron Bay and boyfriend rod daily (gay pornstar) both have contracted HIV and are now speaking out against no condoms being used. i wonder though would they have taken this stance if they had not become infected.

I feel bad for them that they are HIV positive. However, she is eluding to the fact that she got it from non condom porn when that is NOT the case. None of her on screen partners turned up positive. Rod admitted to shooting with HIV positive men, he wore a condom for his scenes with them...BUT he is known gay escort and she also escorted. What was not mentioned is that there is a third woman who was recently positive and the reason for the second moratorium..what do you know she is very close friends w/ both Bay and Daily, all three of them live in AZ. Basically what it boils down to is these people being irresponsible and risky in their personal lives off screen. They did not get infected during a scene...although they could have infected someone else on screen..luckily they didn't. I am all for condoms in porn...BUT I don't like to see grown ass adults trying to place blame on others for their poor decisions.

Yeah, good post Maggie. I'm not a fan of condoms at ALL in porn, and though they may help with disease transmission, they system works already. As Maggie said, no HIV transmission happened here on set. Cameron contracted it outside and testing found that she had it. That sucks and I feel badly for her, but she didn't catch it while shooting porn. How would condoms on set have stopped her from catching it?

They wouldn't have stopped her from catching it BUT they would have possibly prevented her from infected someone else...the lucky thing about this situation is that after her last shoot at the end of July for Kink, she was badly injured and couldn't shoot for a few weeks. There are photos of her breast severely bruised from her Public Disgrace shoot, she had to go to the hospital for it and as a result, did not perform. If she hadn't gotten hurt, she may have done more scenes before her next test and possibly infected others. That's the scary part of it all.

That is the major problem in the Porn Industry. Even with the most stringent measures in place for testing, all could come undone if a performer has sex with someone else before shooting starts. People are still people but they have to be mindful of the risks.
Yes I feel sorry for people who get infected too. A human being is involved , hearing the news that you have been infected must be like a bolt out of the blue. There may have to be a tightening up on the routine and the times that stars get tested and when they get clearance to take part in porn productions.
Such as only working on sets as soon as a clearance certificate is issued by a clinic. Something like that maybe.
Porn studios will be under huge pressure in the future to have even more hardline routines for testing or insist that their porn actors and actress do wear condoms.
