Yes, they are. Given the widespread ignorance about what an anus is supposed to look like, it's often the preferred target of people who like to disfigure body parts. Plenty of people do ignore its appearance even when it's visible and clearly damaged (I've seen this happen many times). You can thank social stigmas for that; few people value this much-maligned body part until they have a problem with their own.

Anyway, this thread is hopeless. I've changed my mind about posting multiple suggestions as others have (it's "the best looking" after all, not "a nice looking"). I'll post my research into what an anus should look like instead:

The anatomically ideal anus should...
- Lack anomalies, such as bumps, piles, skin tags, abnormally deep grooves, or rugae (as in pruritis ani)
- Have shallow, radiating skin folds (sunray-style) that are somewhat symmetrical
- Be shaped like a longitudinal slit at rest

Let me add: I like for the epithelial tissue (i.e. the skin folds) to be slightly darker than the surrounding skin (i.e. no bleaching please, ladies) and to have a rather large circumference.
