Every year, he did year-end concerts. His last ones were at the Westbury Music Fair in Westbury, New York. Then he went home to his family for the Holidays. In 1998, I got my father and stepmother mother tickets in the first row so they saw him up close and personal. He actually reached down and touched hands with my stepmother. She was thrilled to say the least. You see next to Elvis Presley, Kenny Rogers was her second favorite musical artist.
He will be greatly missed. Very sad.
