At the risk of putting a damper on things, it is way past the time where the world is in awe of and scrapes before beautiful people. No more.
I am seriously tired of these people strutting around like they own the world. We are not their subjects. They are ordinary people like everyone else. Her nose is big, her face is too long and her chin looks like she got hit by a golf ball. What would she look like without the layers of make up, i wonder?
At the same time, I would encourage people like her to always look their best. They have a role to play, brightening up our lives, but to be intimidated by them, or have respect simply because they are good looking? No frigging way.
There is a student I know who is extremely beautiful. She brought tears to my eyes three times through her sheer hardness of heart. She really thinks she can lord it over people. No-one has ever done that to me, that my eyes stung with tears at her nastiness. It is not just myself either that she has slapped down. She can be friendly to people, but she tends to look down on others somewhat.
No, beautiful people sometimes can be harsh. Be nice, be respectful, but don't be intimidated. Once one can see past the eyeliner and foundation, one can see the real person.
