I said it before, I say it again : Trump fans are in a Trump Cult

Deported immigrant's wife: 'I can't be mad at Trump for doing his job'

U.S. citizen Cindy Garcia on Tuesday defended the Trump administration's decision to deport her husband, Jorge, saying she can't fault President Donald Trump for executing the laws of the land.

Garcia appeared on CNN to talk about her husband's current life in Mexico and what her next steps would be with his case, which prompted her to advocate changes to immigration laws. Host Brooke Baldwin noted Garcia wasn't upset at government agents and asked her what Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had said to her about her husband.

"Yes, I am not upset at our government due to the fact that I am a U.S. citizen and that our laws come first," Garcia said. "Our laws are just broken and need to be fixed, but I can't be mad at Trump for doing his job because that is his job to protect us, as U.S. citizens, from criminals. The only thing is my husband was not a criminal and those are the laws that need to be fixed because they are broken for the people … brought as children, doing the right thing, and have never committed a crime."

1) Trump had her husband deported buut she still supports him. Wow ! Trump was right : he could stand in 5th avenue, in broad day light, shoot someone, his fans would still support him.

2) She says the laws "because they are broken for the people … brought as children, doing the right thing, and have never committed a crime". Yeah, these laws are broken and need to be fixed for these people but not so long ago they weren't broken. The Dream Act was specificcaly designed for people like her husband. But Trump decided to repeal it and to deport people lie her husband who came into the country as minors, never commited any crime and having all their loved ones in the US.
She also says that she hope the government will soon fix these laws for people like her hudband. That would basically mean reinstating the Dream Act. I don't think it's gonna happen any soon...

God, these people are so brainwashed.
This is the closest thing to a cult I've ever seen. Trump could do anything, they would still support him. He could destroy their lives they would still blame Obama for that.

It's like Scientology. The usual suspects will disagree.

In due time, we will habve to be strong for them, to comfort them, when their world falls apart.

Hmmm, following the law, what a strange concept :brick:

Considering the absolutely messianic treatment that Obama received from his drones and to this day are making excuses for him, the premise of this thread is hilarious. How many people fainted at Trump rallies? The tone deafness of libtards is beyond pathetic.

I don't know what you're talking about.
Actually a lot of real progressives have very mixed feelings about the Obama presidency. Because he campaigned as a real progressive, he promised real change and all we got was a very establishment-friendly president. Off course there's still gonna be a bunch of ignorants who would deify Obama because we're talking about a very narrow minority, a very little fringe of liberals. To most liberals, Obama's presidency was very disapointing.

That's why Hillary and the DNC had to rig the system to make sure Bernie wouldn't beat her.

Horseshit. Never was there ever a person hoisted into the presidency on simply platitudes and slick marketing. People were fainting at his rallies. Do I have to remind you of the people that thought Obama was going to pay for their house, car and gas?
Obama personified the cult of personality. Their is no bigger cult than liberalism.

Obama personified the cult of personality.

True there was a huge enthusiasm during his first campaign. But it slowly disapeared durinh his first term and during the 2nd campaign, very few people thought he would bring deep sgnificanty change to the country. People knew then that they were voting for the lesser evil.

The Trump presidency is nearly 18 monthes now and his fans are still deifying him. Unlike Trumpfans, no Obama fan ever draw him as a god, no liberal ever said he had been choosen by God himself. But Pat Robertson (among others) said that about Trump

Their is no bigger cult than liberalism
Obama is not a liberal. His legacy's very clear on that.
A real liberal president would have accomplished much more with the super-majority he had during his 2 first years.

Obama was never a brilliant economist to start with but a true a community organizer, all his campaign whether first or second campaign were based on hype and bullshit lies, and also let's not forget he put a strong emphasis about Islam before America's values first. He was most divisive president USA ever had. Trump unlike Obama is a patriot and know who to make things work and he even makes the liberal so pissed of his damn good economical results that liberals use all scarecrow and twisted tactics to descredit and slander him. This was not a matter of lesser evil because Obama did more harm than good. Nobody will remember Obama as a real president but as a true community organizer whether you like it or not

mmm ... mmm ... mmm ... barack hussein obama

you fuck libs.

Ok, by Sept. 2009 there was still a bunch of idiots who nearly deified him but not as many as Trumpfans who are currently supporting every thing Trump does.
I mean, this vidoe is from Sept. 2009, 8 month of Obama's presidency, it was still the time where many people were ecstatic about him. 2009 is the year Obama was awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize. It took some time before liberals saw who Obama really was, to realised the man they elected wasn't who they thought he was, that Obama had campaigned as progressive and that his presidency was favoring the status-quo and the establishment.

He never was as divisive as you : For 6 months his aproval rating was +20 or above. For 10 monthes it's was +10 or above. But what approval rating don't tell is weather people would give him a C+ or A+. And by the time ha was running his seconde campaign, most democrats would have given him B or B-.
If you're looking for a divisive POTUS, look at Trump : Most of his voters would give him A or A+, most of the others would give him an F. Now that's divisive !

There were many of us Trump supporters that didn’t exactly trust his new found conservatism at the time. Animus was suspicion of him as I recall.

We support Trump because , so far he is keeping his campaign promises or making an effort to.

No you have gone from trying to paint Trump supporters as a cult to talking about him being divisive . It’s not that Trump is so great it is that the left is so bad. In that respect yes, Trump can do no wrong.

I have said and posted since he came down the escalator that he's no conservative. But he's embraced a few ideals I support and has conducted the business of running the country the same way he's conducted business for over forty years and I got behind that, too.

That's actually a fair point. I keep forgetting to use that distinction. Conservatism and Trumpism are two different things. I have my criticisms of conservatism but at least they care about actual policy issues even though I disagree with 99% of what they propose. Trumpism doesn't care about actual policy. It's all about grievance politics, "liberal tears", "trolling libs", etc. We see it with the threads on this board. There just is no there there. Feel me? Just my 2 cents though

Trump is no ideologue, and he's not a conservative. He's a businessman who sees a problem and sets out to fix it. Call it Trumpism, or whatever you want but I am sold. This guy keeps confounding his critics which is why they're absolutely losing their shit. I sit back and laugh. These fuckers are actually rooting for Kim Jong Un to play Trump even if it hurts our country.

I don't worship Trump though I kid around on here, but I am convinced that he will go down as the greatest modern day President if not all-time.

Just consider what he did - he beat both the democrats and the republicans. We have our first independent President that most people have supposedly been clamoring for. Look what he continues to accomplish despite the non-stop onslaught from the media, popular culture, the Washington establishment and their ongoing coup attempt.

Hail!

Yep. I like to refer to him as GEOTUS and worship at the orange altar because it irks the libs. You are spot on, he is our first independent president. He’ll do some conservative things and he’ll do some things I might not like but the totality of his presidency will be a net gain in conservatism.
He is essentially running the Ross Perot model except he needs to stop being fooled by Paul Ryan on these large spending bills. He says he won’t sign another one and I believe him.
I loved Ronald Reagan but he had an awful lot of establishment cucks in his administration and let’s face it, Nancy was a lib but she didn’t undermine her husband. A lot of so called conservatives like Bill Kristol and George Will canonized Reagan but despise Trump. Trump has accomplished as much if not more conservative initiatives than Reagan did in the same period of their presidencies.

Ronaldis Magnus would whole heartedly approve of this president.
Muthafucking hail!
