I wanted to know what draws you to a website, design wise. I am having my whole website rebuilt, but I am not sure exactly how I want it done. I have seen people post on here talking about how certain websites look like ****. I am talking to the web designer tomorrow.

First of all you should get someone to do your site that actually knows what they´re doing, there are lots of "professional" designers in porn that don´t seem to know anything about composition and even more that don´t understand the importance of colour schemes. Pick a theme/style and a colour scheme, and stick to it for the whole site.

What I would say too. The worst thing IMO is sites with some stupid flash intro that takes a year to load up (cyberspace time=anything more than 5 seconds) and has all kinds of bells and whistles. That's what Vegas is for.

I think the best way to get visitors excited about your content more than the tired old "continue tour">>>> "continue tour" (not that you have to exclude that feature) is some video montage of short segments of all they can expect to see at your site. Really short bits of really good action. Nothing gets me more interested in seeing more from a site than not enough of a very good teaser.

A really brief intro of yourself...(Hi I'm blah blah blah..this is my official site...) then let the action of your montage do the rest of the talking for you.

Anything else you want someone to know let them read it somewhere on your site. I suppose if you tell them everything you think they want to know...why would they surf the rest of the areas of your site?

The look should almost always be as simple looking as possible and project the image/content style the model wants herself to be looked upon as. Simple looking but not cheap looking.

Scoll bars in windows within a page seem like good use of real estate but they can be annoying if the page also scrolls.

I second the simplicity tips.

Build a clean site, and make it easy to navigate, and leave some space between clickable items and text and grafic areas.

It really pays to get some people to try out navigating and using your whole website, I guess you know some people who are not very tech-savvy, like what we call N00bs ^^

If they can work their way around the site, it is safe to say customers will be able to do that, too.

Generally I like it if webmaster do not put a lot of bling and glitz on the site, a slightly animated banner on top or so is fine.

As others have said, a simple design goes a long way. A porn site shouldn't be something that takes the computer a long time to load.

A color scheme that's either nutral, or complimentary not just within itself, but to you as well - you're the feature model on the site, everything about it should be about making you look as good as possible.
