Rep is NOT pointless! I take it pretty serious... I like it. The higher your rep, the more weight you have behind your posts, because people tend to agree with what you say, hence the rep. I'll say once again that I LOVE the rep system. :2 cents:

But your rep power increases each time you gain rep. So the more people agree with you, the bigger your rep power when you rep someone. I personally give rep whenever I STRONGLY agree with what someone says. And you don't LOSE any rep power when you rep someone. You just build theirs by whatever your rep power is at the time. It's a cool system that way. :2 cents:
