I am unsure of what your exact position is. As a lifelong byciclist, I had way too many of close encouinters of that kind, gladly always managed to get out if it before it went deadly.
Sure hope you do not mean this is a good thing to do, as in that clip.
I have personal friends who were into hospital because of shit like that.
That WILL happen in Manhattan one day, I guarantee!
But only it will be those fucking pedestrians that cross the street on a green light and will NOT stop for anything!
While I don't condone what happened in that vid. (though in a small, sick way, it was a LITTLE funny!) there are times that I wanted to plow through that intersection my damn self!
Incident details, thankfully no one was killed or seriously hurt
Driver Ploughs Car Into Brazilian Cyclists
At least nine people have been injured after a driver ploughed his car into a group of Brazilian cyclists staging a peaceful demonstration.
The driver of the black VW Golf appeared to intentionally accelerate his car into dozens of riders taking part in a Critical Mass sustainable transport event in Puerto Alegre.
Despite the shocking scenes that were captured on video, all the victims were discharged from hospital shortly after the incident, according to local media reports.
"What happened was very scary, and I did not understand what was happening, because we could hear screams and the sound of people falling on the ground, the sound of bodies on the hood, windshield, on the asphalt," one of the organisers said in a post on the Porto Alegre Critical Mass blog.
"I saw legs in the air, helmets, bicycles, arms, all mixed together with parts of the car all flying and making noise. It was like a horror movie."
Witnesses said that the car followed the group for about 100m before ploughing into them.
Richard Neis, the 47-year-old driver, has reportedly claimed that he acted in self-defence after being threatened by some of the cyclists.
Critical Mass events, which take place in more than 300 locations around the world, have sometimes been accused of deliberately obstructing other road users and refusing to obey traffic laws.

Cyclist. Not bicyclist. *packs bag for banland after correcting a new mods English*
I think it's despicable how some motorists behave towards cyclists. I think cyclists should key their cars and go somewhere a car can't get at them if they try it.
If the motorist pursues on foot it will be the fat fucker used to sitting behind the wheel (the only reason they'd have the courage to behave like that is because they'd be safe inside their tin can) versus the guy who gets excercise when he goes everywhere and is probably pretty pissed off from motorists behaving like twats.
Some fuckers still think that because they have a car they own the road hey? I once had a major head injury and broken shoulder because a car turned right in front of me while I was training on my bicycle. He stopped and stepped out of the car, looked at me for a second, and left me bleeding on the street while he went off. Hell of an experience.
Because Critical Mass takes place without an official route or sanction, participants in some cities have sometimes practiced a tactic known as "corking" in order to maintain the cohesion of the group. This tactic consists of a few riders blocking traffic from side roads so that the mass can freely proceed through red lights without interruption.

Wow, that's bad. ... It's ironic when I was a kid on my bike, cars were always the problem. But once I started driving, it's the other way around. ... btw do you notice these day's, that as soon as something like that happens people go straight fot their iphones and cameras. Only a couple actually try and help out.
