So I am sitting here tonight feeling a little blue for old Galactic.....things could be worse, things could be better. Anyway.....

I decided to drink a little on the heavier side, something maybe not all that surprising with you, my fellow porn and discussion enthusiasts, when I realized how pervading the silence was.....and decided to throw on....here it comes, the point of the post, one of the greatest rock albums of all time:

Smashing Pumpkins, Siamese Dream.

See, what all you whippersnappers may not realize, is that when this album hit, it was like a smack in the face to music....new, fresh, bold, a different sound, and in my opinion, better than most of the SHIT you all listen to now.

Like it or not, the Pumpkins had their moment, and influenced music heavily.......yes, I am aware there will be the pumpkin smashers on this thread, and quite simply, piss off, I don't care.......I just wanted to come on here, right now, in the throes of a nice buzz, listening to some of my favorite music from the old days, and share.

So, haters hate away, and fellow enthusiasts share your thoughts.

I was around when the pumpkins came out. They were okay then, but I can't stand them now. I kind of just got played out on their sound. Billy Corgan's voice gets on my nerves. And after that whole Zwan thing, he became a big joke to me.

There's still a few songs I dig, though. I think SSPU took the sound and made it better, though That might be just me.


Anyway, happy drinking.

As of many bands they stood on the shoulders of giants... Nothing really new, just taking style from the past. They are a good band, but I think there are some far better historically.. They owe allot to post-punk circa 1978-1983. Too many people think music started with these guys and Nirvana..
