I think it's always healthy to examine the view opposite popular opinion. With the euphoria of "Je Suis Charlie" dying down, there is a sobering movement against the magazine. Let me preface this by saying I am 100% against any forms of terrorism. However there should be position where you condemn the killings, but also don't support the magazine.
We have the response from the magazine which released their "Survivor Edition" today. Seems like the classy thing to do would be to print a respectful "In Memoriam" for the victims. Instead they went with a "Fuck you Islam" direction and lampoon the religion even further by putting that caricature on the front page. Granted they could print anything they wanted for this issue with no repercussions, but did they really have to abuse this Carte blanche?

Make no mistake, they are profiting from this big time. NO mention of any donations to any appropriate charities, victim's funds, etc. They could have easily provided something for the grocery store victims, or the 3 police officers that were killed, as they suffered when they had nothing to do with the magazine.
Then there's the double standard and hypocrisy about the free speech issue. It's ironic that many of the 40 world leaders that took part in the "Solidarity march" come from countries that actively suppress free speech, such as Israel, Russia, Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. For example Netanyahu was in Paris in support of free speech, yet we have this:
Israel to demand apology for ‘anti-Semitic’ Netanyahu cartoon

and
Israel extends detention of Palestinian cartoonist
https://www.cpj.org/2013/02/israel-extends-detention-of-palestinian-cartoonist.php
And as it has been pointed out in other threads, while cartoons and jokes insulting Islam is fair game, expressing your free speech about other issues is not.
Like I said, 100% condemn the terrorist actions, but there has to be a happy medium between supporting free speech and "Being Charlie".

All proceeds from the sale of this week's edition will go directly to Charlie Hebdo, a windfall for a publication that had been struggling financially.
